Update: 11 year old trans girl lost appeal -
The above article is an update. Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost. She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender. She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.
Please, if you haven’t signed the petition, sign it, reblog it, ask your friends to sign it. We’ve managed to get 40K signatures for a pageant model, we’ve only gotten 11K for a little girl about to have her life ruined. Lets get on the ball and spread the word.

Due to the fact that I could acquire a proper Steampunk Jacket.
I decided to simply wear my Boy Scout uniform uniform instead.
At the sign in booth, one of the people working there was a scout master.
He promptly asked if I was A Scout(I am) and then asked if I was here because of a scouting event as well (I was only here for the con of course).
I was then Asked to remove and put away the scouting shirt due to the regulations:
“the uniform is not to be worn for anything other than a scouting event or scouting sponsored event.”
and so, I was stuck in a goth t-shirt for the rest of the CON.
The front desk man was understanding though, and I did still look fairly steampunky.
I take no offence.
